You just knew she was bad.

Apparently the she-pee takes a bit of practice. All the way back on my own long, miserable bus journey (Mexico City to Mexicali), I was designing just such a device in my mind's eye. I'm fine with al fresco peeing myself, but not when I'm the cynosure of all lecherous eyes on a bus journey. I didn't even know the fellows, but they were already acting as if they knew me; no telling what message squatting in the bushes might have sent out.
With a Shee-pee, a plastic container and a pancho, I could have had a far more comfortable journey.Mary Witzlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06458299046574564155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-41955997344797735392007-10-25T21:20:00.000+01:002007-10-25T21:20:00.000+01:00Don't have much to say except that I am missing yo...Don't have much to say except that I am missing your posts. It had two distinct types of inhabitant, the local ultra working class population and people like us who couldn't afford London but commuted and so lived in a kind of liminal between the two places. I've never actually seen one but my sister-in-law was telling me all about it and I keep meaning to check it out on the internet. I have to confess to being rather shamless about relieving myself in bushes and behind trees when the need arises. I spend quite alot of time in the hills and so have had to get used to it, now the side of any road will do.

Oh Doc how annoying I will have to type the story out especially for you, I think you'll like it.

I do indeed have an estuary accent but probably not as fabulous a one as your friend, the isle of Sheppy is a wild and wonderful place and the accent reflects that. I grew up a bit too close to the establishment.Eryl Shieldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01818102006775827503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-15760689933980418602007-10-08T14:06:00.000+01:002007-10-08T14:06:00.000+01:00Alas and alackaday! I will never forget having been stuck with all the other women on a bus once while all the men got off and handily relieved themselves. Most of the time I thank God to have been born female, but when traveling there is no doubt about it: the male is more practically equipped for the quick and easy pee.Mary Witzlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06458299046574564155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-17652750703538787262007-10-06T10:04:00.000+01:002007-10-06T10:04:00.000+01:00Sam ~ I really should have credited my source, Ang...Sam ~ I really should have credited my source, Angela Carter's book of fairy tales which is absolutely fantastic and also beautiful to behold, I don't know where my manners went!

Yes! it's questions such as yours that make me love the tale so much, it is only tiny but so many questions arise from it. Since finding it I have become fascinated by innuit culture and really hope to go to northern Canada one day and see for myself. I discovered a great poem called Ptarmigan which just makes you go 'WHAAAAT!!!!!' The Innuits have interpreted the world and humanity in a toally different way to us comfortable westerners.Eryl Shieldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01818102006775827503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-60558400465705364542007-10-06T05:26:00.000+01:002007-10-06T05:26:00.000+01:00That's an amazing story. I might have kept the penis just for the sheer convenience in toileting matters it gives a man, but I'm curious now. Is there really no difference in being a man or a woman when you're on your own? Is it other people who give us our sex?

I was expecting a kind of Borders accent and had imagined a totally different voice for you. It's fascinating to find out how much we've just assumed about a person. It took me ages to get used to Kim's voice when he did his first podcast and, of course, now I can't imagine him any other way.

It was great to hear you; you tell a story beautifully.Sam, Problem-Child-Bridehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650421439038979462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-15519352992329867232007-10-05T22:35:00.000+01:002007-10-05T22:35:00.000+01:00Kim ~ Thank you, I think it might!Pi ~ It is me - ...Kim ~ Thank you, I think it might!

Pi ~ It is me - although I've lived in Scotland for exactly half my life it seems it was that first half, in Kent, that shaped my accent.Eryl Shieldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01818102006775827503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463471462522424732.post-74081652438910655072007-10-05T14:39:00.000+01:002007-10-05T14:39:00.000+01:00I could hear every word.
